A million stars…. How many times have folks stood out on a dark night beneath a blanket of stars, watching the universe unfold and wondering about what it is that we humans wonder about? It is such an essentially human moment, and undoubtedly has been since we first got up on two legs. It is a time when we feel most insignificant before the grandeur of creation, yet in it’s vastness it is strangely comforting. Wherever we are in our lives, we can look up and see the stars in the sky. In fact, the stars are the one immutable and reassuring constant in the living memory of the human race. The tunes in this collection are stars in my sky. They are primal melodies which opened up to me, and became trusted friends, there through the good times and the hard… ongoing theme music to accompany me through life. The music in this album spans the past seventeen years. I touch base on the many places I have explored along the way, the full range from solo violin to larger, more orchestral pieces.
