These are just some of the reactions people are having to ANIMA, a celebration of music and dance that utilizes a stunning deployment of new A/V technologies to showcase the creative and mythic power of women as expressed in cultures around the world. Transcending the boundaries of gender, race, religion and social class, ANIMA is a powerful concept whose strength lies in tapping deep mythic powers that stir the soul of anyone who views it. Think of a Cirque du Soleil of the spirit. Within the show, our dance ensemble of thirty performers move through time, exploring various civilizations such as Ancient India, and Renaissance Europe, bringing to our audience the rich tradition of music, dance and art that flourished during those times thanks to the indomitable spirit of the era's women. We would like to share just a taste of this extraordinary experience through the enclosed CD, developed after an overwhelming response from attendees of past performances. Improvised compositions that we still consider in the demo stage, these musical explorations nonetheless convey the unique aura of ANIMA.
