SFR finds its inspiration at the intersection of good intentions and bad acid. SFR is able to speak in fairly coherent sentences and feed and bathe itself on a regular basis, also creating a music that veers between the sacred and profane, the sublime and the ridiculous. A meditative instrumental soundtrack suitable for listening during one's deepest introspection might give way on the next track to a jagged scene from someone's worst nightmare. A hypnotic and mesmerizing dance piece can easily be followed by a twisted blues that at once not only satirizes the old masters, but provides a solid groove for some truly original improvising.
