Jah Soldiers first formed in San Diego, California in the early 90's. They began performing at venues and festivals throughout the state backing artists like Johnny Osbourne, Sammy Dread, Sister Nancy and Admiral Tibet,among others. The Musical Weapon studio project was created by the Jah Soldiers band, while between gigs. This array of powerful vocalists was chosen to record their own tracks over the band's previously layered sounds, and each track was then carefully mixed by dub-master The Scientist.
