Osmoses is a multicultural band with members from various countries and diasporas: Martinique, Jamaica, Mexico, Ivory Coast, Puerto Rico, U.S.A, Guadeloupe, Haiti; and are based in New York, USA and Paris, France. Osmoses is a two hour concert of music and dance, consisting of original songs and compositions in French, English and Creole. They are interpreted by Carole Alexis that draws from her transcontinental lifestyle as well as eight talented musicians and dancers of the Diaspora with extensive backgrounds all driven by a percussive rhythmic bringing many disciplines and ethnic flavors.

Carole Alexis is a lead singer from Martinique. She is an alumni of Mudra Afrique, created by Maurice Bejart, Leopold Sedar Senghor, and the UNESCO. Her artistic philosophy and performances are firmly grounded in the belief of a no single-track art form; she incorporates vocals, music, dance and dramatics into all of her productions. She defines herself as multicultural. Her connection to a variety of cultures and ethnicity's continually manifests itself throughout her art, filling her audiences with a sense of attachment to a more universal consciousness.

Composer, songwriter, bass player and percussionist Joby Marie is often given that role in the many groups and projects that he has been involved in. When observing his career the choice of strong ethics, loyalty, and a desire to communicate a better possibility to the human race has been constant. In the early years of his musical journey he was a "Poto Mitan" member of the mythic group 6eme Continent who was awaking many generations to the consciousness of a Caribbean self-identity, and unity, which was at that time part of a very avant-garde movement. Today, it's with that same passion that Jobi's talent, through his musicality and his writing, takes place in Osmoses.
