Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico in the year 1966. He began his musical studies while still in high school by participating in the Copany Band. As a part of his band he gave performances in and out of Puerto Rico, including The First Festival of Young Orchestra of the Americas.

While in the Interamerican University of San German in Puerto Rico, he was a part of the Concert Band and percussion group. To improve professionaly he studied for a year in The Musician's Institute of California where he was awarded an honorary mention in Drum Set in 1990.

He was recognized at the most outstanding percussionist of the class 1991. Later he continued his bachelor degree studies in percussion at The Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico from where he graduated with honors in 1992.

His professionally experiences include various musical styles from operas and zarzuelas, to popular music and jazz; for example he has participated with The Symphonic Orchestra of Puerto Rico and The Puerto Rico Heyneken Jazz Festival accompanying musicians like Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Pakito D'Rivera, Airto Moreira, Flora Purin, Amuny Nacer, Dave valentine, Giovanny Hidalgo, Pedro Guzmán, Humberto Ramirez, Jose Nelson Ramirez and The Big Band of Berkley.

Recently has performed in a musical play Qusetinable Quest ina a Beacon Theater in Broadway. Actually has a professor of the Interamerican University and The Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico and a musical director of Batucada Portobrasil.

In the other musical styles he has performed with artist like Jose Nogueras, Danny Rivera, Yolandita Monge, Braulio, Lissette, Luna, Proyecto M, Olga Tañón, Millie Corretger, Luis Fonsi, Wilkins, Lucesita, Manny Manuel, Chayanne, Dagmar, Porto Latino, Alexander Pirex, Alejandro Sands, Jose Feliciano, Gilberto Santarrosa, Jerry Rivera, Ednita Nazario, William Cepeda, Furito Rios, and The Spiritual Band.

All his experiences and talent made him and asset fot Te Berkley College of Boston. from where he received a scholarship in 1996 and was also honor by being recognized as one of the best jazz player in Puerto Rico in 1999.

He engraved tape recorder of Danny Rivera, Domingo Garcia, Humberto Ramirez, Porto Latino, Luna, Tito Nieves, Kike Domenech, Kike Lopez, Paoli Mejias, Frankie Suarez, Angel David Mattos, in life Olga Viva, Viva Olga and The Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival years 1991, 1992, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2003.
