Emitting strong lyrical skills and a personality that draws people in, reggaeton artist Nica is planting his seed in the music industry. At only 15 years of age, the Atlanta born artist is set to unleash his distinctive sound onto all those willing to listen. From penning persuasive lyrics under heavy percussive drumbeats to creating synocapated reggaeton tinged beats, Nica is out to prove that he is the next voice to shine in the reggaeton movement.

Nica began taking his music career seriously after a performance at a local high school. “It was great to see that people actually liked it. I saw people were so impressed and moved by what I was doing that I just couldn’t let myself do nothing about it.” Taking his music to the next level Nica feverously pens songs in his sidekick during homeroom class while making himself a staple in local studios at night. “I’m just trying to push myself in music,” the young artist quips about his introduction to the music industry. “I can write, rap, sing, and make beats and I’m only 15. I feel that I can’t go anywhere but up.”

The native Atlanta artist adopted the name Nica as homage to his parents’ native country, Nicaragua. “Nica is what they call people from my country,” he says between a slight southern twang and uptempo swagger. “The irony is that my brothers were born in Nicaragua but I’m the one that reps and is more ‘Nica’ than any of them.”

It is easy to hear his Nicaraguan roots embedded within his music. The bilingual artist chooses Spanish as his language of expression and attacks each song with raw intensity, catchy hooks, and pure emotion. Expanding his sound with the help of bottom-less bass, chest-caving persusssion, and fluttering synth, Nica is pushing past the sonic structure of today’s Latin urban music and creating an archteype for his future. One listen to his songs is testimony that he is treading in new waters.

The tweeter shaker “Do It” offers an amicable introduction to the sound, flow, and demeanor of Nica, proving that he can fill the void in the industry. “Fuego” becomes an instant radio favorite. With its memorable hook, stuttering drum pattern, and irressitible flow, Nica stands out as an artist that can flow effortlessly from the dance floor to the car to your speakers at home.

And with an album, in the works, a live show packed with explosive energy, and the charisma to win over any listener, Nica is awaiting his formal debut. “I just want to take reggaton to the next level,” he expressess while playing his latest record to a studio full of listeners. “There’s so much I want to say, and one day everyone will be able to hear it."
