As a singer/songwriter in Los Angeles, I have sung for many television shows and placed songs in film. I released my 5 song EP called The Great Plan Vol. I last summer (2004). I am currently working on the follow up, The Great Plan Vol. II, which will be available in the fall 2005.
"Lebanon", is my first single. It is a song I wrote about the political freedom currently emerging in my native country. "The song sounds like what it felt like to live there as a child during the war".
Some background information about my work and myself: I'm a professionally trained pianist, flautist and classically trained vocalist from the age of five. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, my family came to The United States when I was nine and my love for music continued. Having lived in New York, London and Miami, I have been influenced by many different artists and musicians, allowing me to find my own unique and original sound. Mixing a rock/soul/eclectic root with world sounds and haunting melodies gives me the signature sound I have today.
I have been fortunate to work with such artists as Jennifer Stills (Stephen Stills), Todd Sucherman (Styx), Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne), Bird York and Lili Haydn. Most recently, my voice can be heard on Odd Girl Out (LifetimeNetwork), "Dreams In Ashes", and The 4400 theme song, "A Place in Time", in which the writers were awarded at the 2005 BMI Film & Television Music Awards and starting it's second season on (USA) June 5th.
