King Solomon was formed in 1998 by guitarist Terry Tanger and drummer Keith Green. Tanger, former guitarist/frontman for the popular 80's band the X-Cleavers, and Green, former drummer/vocalist from the band Kojo, came together to form a more distinctive sound on the local reggae music scene. In their search for that distinctive sound, they came across former Citizen King bassist Cory Coleman and the foundation for King Solomon was set.

Fueled by the power house sound engineering of Jonny Olson and the masterful keyboard work of Brownstown, Jamaica native Sheldon Clark, King Solomon delivers a vibe that comes across as aggressively syncopated and tight while at the same time smooth and hypnotic. Their sound is best described as "dancehall roots reggae with a powerhouse punch to the heart".

In the past few years King Solomon has established a large fan base while filling up local clubs, taverns, and bars to capacity. They've managed to draw thousands while headlining major outdoor festivals and events and has quickly established itself as one of the more popular bands on the Wisconsin music scene.
