Borg & Vella play fusion flamenco, a musical style they describe as being derived from the traditional spirit of flamenco infused with a blend of rhythms inspired by jazz, pop, latin and rock musical influences. Richard Borg and Kenneth Vella have worked together musically for over ten years and lead their band in an exciting and energy-filled musical style. The success of their first CD "Colours of the Spirit", released in 2000, introduced the artists as the newest contribution to the world of Nuevo Flamenco and New Age Latin music. Borg & Vella have since thrilled sold-out audiences at night clubs and outdoor festivals both locally and overseas and have received a wide range of press, television and radio exposure both in Canada and Europe. Their latest album, "Dream Out Loud" (2003), showcases Borg & Vella's ability to progress as musicians and songwriters and to move beyond the traditional boundaries set by their counterparts. This can only mean that their live performances will no doubt get larger and more exciting.
