Matt and Pauly Zarb Live Matt and Pauly Zarb grew up in Penrith west of Sydney, Australia. The two brothers come from a family of musicians. Matt and Pauly have played music together since their childhood. Both Matt and Pauly are award winning multi-instrumentalists, singers and songwriters playing an array of instruments sometimes three at once. This recording is a true representation of one live show on Brampton Island on the Queensland coast of Australia in the year 2001. In listening to any of the tracks try to imagine this if you haven't already seen a Matt and Pauly show. Matt standing on his home made stomp box {kick drum sounding foot drum} playing acoustic guitar, harmonica percussion and singing. Pauly, to Matts right playing left hand bass or percussion, right hand keyboard sometimes singing at the same time. Pauly also plays flute and tin whistle on this recording. There are no over dubs on this recording!!!!! Matt and Pauly now reside in Kentucky in the United States and are quickly becoming one of the most renowned and popular acts in the state. Together they have opened shows for Willie Nelson, Keith Urban, Little Feat, Tommy Emmanuel, The Louisville Orchestra and many more. Every year on the fourth of July weekend in their hometown of Bardstown K Y they hold their own concert in the main street "The Zarb Brothers Street Concert" hosted by the city of Bardstown and many local sponsors. This concert alone attracts thousands of people into one block in downtown Bardstown. This year's concert will also feature Australian guitar master Tommy Emmanuel. Since moving to the United States Matt and Pauly have not only performed but have continued to record music together and in 2002 recorded in Kentucky a studio project titled Chameleon. This recording also available on Cd Baby is exactly as the title suggests, colourful, crazy, produced, raw, thoughtful, blunt, rock, country, folk, blue, green and all the other colours of music Matt and Pauly never wanted to be boxed into a style that suited any record company criteria. Both Matt and Pauly love their independence and continue to record whatever they like. Chameleon is a fine example of that.
