Babeena Sharma has been teaching voice lessons in Indian Classical and Light Music in Washington, PA, for almost 10 years.. She started singing at the age of four and participated in stage performances with her parents Mr.B.N.Chatterjee and Late Mrs.Behroze Chatterjee. She has also delighted the hearts of many with her singing at the temples and select functions.She took voice training from Guru Morone ,Shri Bhoumik of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and her mother, Late Mrs. Behroze Chatterjee. She has a 3-year diploma from the Prayag university of Indian classical Music. Babeena's mother, Late Mrs.Behroze Chatterjee, was a renowned singer of Ghazals, Geet and Bhajans,giving performances all over the world. She was awarded the National Sheromani Award in1993 for her contribution in the field of performing arts. She passed away last year on July14, 2003. This CD "Mukti" is a tribute to her and her great talent. "This CD is dedicated to my mother, who continues to be a source of inspiration to me.
