Nicolas Thys is a New York based bassist/song writer/guitarist/singer/keyboardist.....who worked with jazzgreats all over the world(Toots Thielemans,Zap Mama,Brazilian girls,Mal Waldron,Mark Turner)just to name a few..... Constantly in demand,Nic is one of the busiest bassist in New York and abroad.. At home in various styles,you'll find him backing up some jazz legends on upright bass,or run into him in some R'n'B club in the west village,or providing swinging basslines for the Isaac Mizrahi show on tv,recording soundtracks for movies(love the hard way starring Adrian Brody)... His own project THYS, is a blend of all these different styles... A very personal soul/rock/pop oriented project with catchy melodies and groove oriented tracks ...
