Born in New York City, and raised in the city of Newark, New Jersey, Cynthia Rose Roberson is no stranger to the realities of urban life. Out of these beginnings she has emerged with a song to sing, a story to tell and a message to give..." When all is said and done, I don't want to be remembered merely as an entertainer, but as a singer of substance..." The 'LADY', like the proverbial 'ROSE', has many sides waiting to be discovered as they unfold.

Lady Rose is a unique new brand of inspirational singer and writer; one who creates soulfully stirring pieces that are absolutely spiritually charged. Most enjoyable is her ability to deliver the story with all the emotions we feel in our own lives: joy, pain, love, peace... This creativity is complemented by a unique enlightenment toward life issues. As a result, feelings of self empowerment, determination, spiritual exaltation and evangelism are generated by her songs.

Her songs come alive, both in lyric and delivery, and contain elements of jazz, soul, pop and R&B. Lady Rose feels strongly that her songs are Divinely inspired. "God guides me to write and sing what He wants communicated to
others," she says. " I want to touch the lives and hearts of the world with special songs, music with meaning and purpose."

Lady Rose is a young lady who comes from a military background and has earned a BA in Music and certification to teach music grades K-12 from Rutgers University. In real-time performance she has won numerous talent showcases and has floored audiences from Green Bay, WI. with Ray Charles to Sapporo Japan.

She's a member of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center "Jubilation" Choir where she has been blessed to share the stage with the phenomenal and world renown artistry of Shirley Caesar, Daryl Coley, Donnie McKlurkin, Queen Lateefah, Vicki Winans and the list goes on. Lady Rose also extends her music ministry into the prison setting, leaving a definite impression that gives that
population something to write home about.

Lady Rose has been inspired by talented artists such as Anita Baker, Patti Labelle, Yolanda Adams and India Arie. All this is to her credit, and yet one thing remains very clear: Lady Rose's strong smooth, natural, emotionally charged style remains uniquely hers. Candid and powerful, she positively rivets the focus of all who listen...and totally commands the attention of those who dare to really hear her....
