Kulwata Press Release

When you think of the Blues, you think of a old black man in a dark tight suit, hat and glasses setting on a porch in Mississippi playing a harmonic singing about pain, suffering and lost love. Well, that's still the Blues, hasn't anything changed much with the subject matters except now its gotten much younger and has a less than traditional sound. I introduced to you, Kulwata (cool- wate).

Kulwata style of Blues is young and exciting. His music is vibrant keeping the listener conscious of his lyrical message with head nodding beats and sounds. His lyrical content is a reflection of what's going on inside himself, which is a mirror image of all our everyday lives. What's especially interesting about Kulwata style is he don't try to go into social change subjects, he sticks to what works for him life's joys, pain and how himself and those around him deal with it.

When asked to describe his style of music Kulwata will most likely tell you "Very Non Traditional Blues" ole feeling with a young sound. If you enjoy new sounding experiences in music, I definitely recommend giving Kulwata CD entitled "The Non Traditional Sound Of Blues" a listen. This entire CD was recorded live in Kulwata basement with no studio effects added to enhance his sound or style. The sound quality is amazingly great for a recording of this type and the distinctiveness of his voice brings back feelings of Sunday morning church services sometime. If you appreciate music that makes you think whether the artist is talking about you, then you will most certainly enjoy this CD, as I do.
