Solid rhythms, intelligent lyrics, memorable hooks carried by a powerful and passionate voice. Kim Gile is a singer's singer with a voice of depth, strength and range. Her latest CD "Drive By Rhythm" is a soulful compilation of songs born out of her partnership with guitarist/songwriter/producer Jay DeCosio. The music is driven by DeCosio's extensive knowledge of the roots of rock, rhythm and blues. Coupled with lyrics expressing human experience, love, and finding your place in this world. Inspired by great artists such as Aretha, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald, Gile's soulful voice will wrap you up and remind you of the power of great music and eloquent vocals. The musicians on this CD make up Gile's performing band. They have been playing live for festivals, clubs and private concerts throughout Los Angeles and Southern California for close to ten years. In that time she has shared the stage with performers such as Albert King, Asleep at the Wheel and Joe Houston. The strength of their live shows has produced a solid following of fans of all ages and backgrounds. DeCosio and Gile recently performed an acoustic concert for Santa Monica College.
