The Dutch-American Sean Jamaal, one of this country's best kept secrets, was born and raised in Chicago, where he started singing and receiving awards at a young age. He frequently performs in the Netherlands with great success to both smaller and larger venues. Based in the Netherlands he tours in many countries both in and out of Europe.

Sean Jamaal, an all-round performer, sings blues, gospel and most of all jazz. He has been named a top soloist with the Amsterdam Swing Society. At the Spirit of Jazz in Düsseldorf, Germany, he was acclaimed for his "powerful virtuoso voice, which exudes the essence of blues, gospel, and jazz". In the Norwegian Lillestrøm he impressed his audience with his extensive repertoire and "...his interpretations displaying remarkable musicality."

Sean Jamaal, one of the Netherlands' most sought after singers, frequently appears on national television. He has performed in Gordon Doorgedraaid, Paul de Leeuw, Barend & Van Dorp and many others. He has sung for André Haze on several occassions. and was seen and heard at the wedding of Prince Bernhard Jr. His voice is also used in radio jingles and German t.v. commercials.

Sean Jamaal performs with many different bands: the jazz/funk band SoulShaker, the gospel and soul choirs Loud & Proud and Heavenly Harmony, the Berget Lewis Gospel Train, his own jazz band, the Sean Jamaal Quintet, and of course as a soloist.
