N-Tense The key elements that encompass true artistry - style, talent, creativity, & delivery, all of which for the most part equal longevity within an ever changing industry where musical themes & styling change seemingly overnight; encompassing the aforementioned ingredients for musical acclaim and success is where songwriter, and producer P. Dion Gaines aka Nut-P carves his niche of music that is seasoned richly in relevancy, rhythm and soul. With over 12 years of honing his musical dexterity from rapping to working as a DJ, "I was like 13 when I started rapping and Djing house parties at 16 - during that time I also learned how to play the keyboard," states Nut-P. Also honing his craft with his musical partner and nephew, Spyda, Nut-P worked within their local (Oklahoma City, OK) Gospel (church) music circles producing music for various church functions & events. "Yeah we did a lot of collaborating on the come up - we just worked off each others ideas," reflects Nut-P. With a burgeoning & impressive resume of experience having worked with national renowned recording artists, Nut-P has relished in the success of the fruits of musical labor; having produced tracks for notable artists such as: Mista of "Blackberry Molasses" fame, The Luniz' of "I Got 5 On It" fame, Yuk Mouth, Lil Flip, The Dogg Pound's Bad Azz, Athena Cage former lead singer of the 90's soul trio Kut Klose, also providing musical support for and up & coming soul sensation of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Casuell. Serving the needs of the musical appetite of his local metropolitan Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nut-P has found successful musical gratification by partnering with Oklahoma City based Outlandish Records. Working with 2 of Oklahoma City's finest emcees, Pistola (who has been dubbed the realist vato & a killer on the mic) & JK Chamberlock Mob Click (another emcee with heavy Tupac influences but a style all his own); "Working with these two guys I had great success on the local level working their debut albums - Pistola's 'Gangsta Memories' & JK's 'Eastside 4 Life,' - their albums sold an impressive 2000 units underground independently through OKC," states Nut-P. Launching his music production company, NMP-86 Ltd. Co. (N-Tense Music Productions), towards the end of the 90's. With the inception of NMP-86 Ltd. Co. Nut-P elaborates on his reason for creating his successful music venture, "It was my desire and still is to this day to seek out new & talented artists in the urban scene - taking a hands on approach to creating their project. I am very hands on with the entire process with my artists & clients - investing into someone's dream in this manner helps the artist get exposure necessary and get a solid footing within the music industry." Aside from his musical success on the production side, Nut-P serves an accomplished slick, stylish, and street savvy artist delving into various themes of life, love, and relationships on his Outlandish Records 2002 debut offering, 'An R&B Experience,' under the moniker (N-Tense) which showcases both Nut-P's talent on the boards coupled with his ability to craft well penned lyrics on this debut effort. With the latest release of N-Tense's sophomore follow-up, 'Finally, A Reason to Listen,' Nut-P further solidifies his position as a creative force deserving of the title of artist. Continuing in the themes that carried his debut offering, N-Tense's latest collection showcases themes and different takes & scenarios of everyday life as heard on "After Sex Nap," "If I Was Your Man," "Playa Hater," & the Latin tinged "Bonita Armida." N-Tense along with his signature brand & sound brought forth by NMP-86 Ltd. Co. & Outlandish Records are seriously devoted to creating a higher standard of class and style that is aloof from urban soul music of today. N-Tense proves that there is still a reason to listen, so just do it, and enjoy!!! Outlandish Records/ NMP-86 Ltd. Co Check out the artist's website: http://www.outlandishmusic.com Track List: 1.
