From New York to GA, Atlanta, then VA: I grew up in New York listening to best the Hip Hop, as well as R&B, Jazz, and Reggae. I attended the same school as Public Enemy, Aaron Hall of Guy, Eddie Murphy, & other well known people. I left New York to attend college in Washington, DC. On returning, I joined a group as a back up singer and dancer. The group was called Body & Soul. The group broke up after the lead singer stole our prize money from talent shows we won. That turned me off from the business for a while. I left New York and moved to the ATL, also know as Atlanta. One thing that was funny about moving to Atlanta was that I saw more people that I knew from New York in Atlanta, than I did while I was in New York - I’m talking about people I went to high school with that I hadn’t seen in years. Going to Atlanta was like being a flower which was removed from a flower pot to a fertile garden. I wrote a lot of songs while there and also expanded on my other love, photography. Being there gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with so many talented people. Amongst them were Jermaine Dupri, Andre 3000 and Big Boi, of Outkast, The Goody Mob, Chili and T-Boz from TLC, LA Reid of LaFace Records, Little John, LL Cool J, Diddy, Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige, 112, and many others, not to mention the local talent. It was crazy back then, there were so many events and talent show cases going on, it was hard to keep up. Being around that scene just made me strive to continue writing and biding my time. I ended up moving to VA to be closer to family, especially my sister. I really missed her after having been split up because of divorce and parents with issues, since we were young teens. I took a hiatus from music at the time and decided to focus on work. I ended up getting a couple of good jobs with a major credit card company and then a major telecommunications company, so music really took a back seat for a while. I picked back up by producing a couple of visual and performing arts events which featured live music, spoken word, fashion, and art. The shows were great successes, I enjoyed working with other artists, especially in a live setting, but I was left with an appetite to produce my own project. I procrastinated a little while longer and worked on some video production, which I scored with some of the music I had produced at the time. It didn’t take long for me to pick back up from some of the songs I wrote while in Atlanta and revive them with some new production work and to create some completely new material. That work has resulted in my first major release, Jam Boy Begins on the newly formed label Jam Boy Entertainment. If you like Hip Hop and R&B, and you like to dance I think you will enjoy this release. Thus far, I have received some much appreciated positive feed back. I greatly appreciate your interest in my music and I would like to Thank You in advance for your purchase.

Best regards,
Ace
