"She can take her voice wherever she wants it to go - soaring up there with the flutes, whispering with the mournful clarinets, roaring like a horn and booming like a tuba. She moves from achingly pretty highs to gut-wrenching soul-shouter deliveries in an effortless glide that leaves you with your hair standing on end.....Not since Miriam Makeba have we had such a songbird as we have in Tsidii.
~ Glynis O'Hara, Sunday Star Review

"A little of Ella,a touch of the blues and a voice that mellowed in the Lesotho mountains. Tsidii Le Loka's singing makes the critics swoon"
~Dee Phillips, Cosmopolitan

"She doesn't just sing, she summons"
~ Dwight Hobbes, Aesthetics

......Although this album is neither a narrowly focused "social issues" album nor an "African" album, it touches on the realities of Tsidii's life and experiences. In describing it, Tsidii has coined the desciption - NEW WORLD MUSIC / MUSIC FOR A NEW WORLD. It can be enjoyed by people with a wide variety of tastes with an openness to a fresh sound. Tsidii's worldly perspective combined with the brilliance of music Producer Francois Breant, have created a unique and winning collaboration. Here's to a royal odyssey and to the beginnings of a music for a new world...Enjoy!
