Originally from Oregon, the group Soul Essence started in 1995 when Andrew Kwon and Dennis Agustin formed an acapella group and began performing at schools and sports games with a few other singers. In `98, Andrew was signed to a label in Asia and began his professional career as a group. The album was released in `99 and their first album has climbed up to No.9 in the National R&B Chart. But the Creative Differences brought him back home to Portland. During the same time, Dennis worked on his project with other backup vocalists releasing Singles and Opening up for groups such as "Kai". In 2001 the two have reunited to take their Music to the next level. You'll hear something different, an R&B Vocals with Asian Flavor.
