Kenny Ray was one of the truly unique singers to ever come out of Kansas City. His contemporary Christian sound crossed over into the mainstream well and received generous airplay on local Christian radio. Kenny was a VERY talented arranger and composer, as well as a truly inspired writer. His career brought us "KC Hope" and "MPact", two incredible acapella groups that Kenny Ray founded. Sadly Kenny Ray has passed away. His music and legacy live on though, and his words continue to inspire and uplift people all over the world. "Hold on Strong" was released Oct. 1999, and features a wide variety of music ranging from dance club grooves to traditional gospel. Featured are some of KC's most soulful voices, always the signature of his groups. Kenny's earthly work is now complete, but his presence can still be felt, and his voice can still be heard. Proceeds from the sale of "Hold on Strong" will benefit the American Kidney Foundation.
