Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Will Brock relocated to Philadelphia in 1992 to study jazz performance at the University of the Arts. He immediately made a name for himself as a pianist in Philly's jazz and R&B scene as a sideman for such renowned acts as the Stylistics, Gerald Veasley, Grover Washington, Pieces of a Dream, and many others.     Brock later branched out into production. He has written and produced for the likes of Diane Reeves, Pieces of a Dream, Al Jarreau and most recently, Jeff Bradshaw and Glen Lewis. Brock debuted his vocal abilities on Veasley's 2001 release On the Fast Track with "I Desire," an R&B ballad that he wrote and produced. On Veasley's 2003 release, Velvet, Brock was featured as a vocalist on "Home," a jazzy soul tune that brought audiences to their feet at concerts across the country.     Ready to step out on his own, Will Brock comes to DHP Records with his debut solo album A Letter from Eye to I. On Eye to I, Brock flexes his writing and production skills as he tells a heartfelt tale of love and heartbreak. Brock's emphasis on strong song writing creates a level of quality likened only to the earlier days of R&B/Soul. The youthful energy and emotion in his voice conjure images of old Marvin Gaye records, while his musical style has obvious Prince influences. With Eye to I, Brock has re-invented himself. No longer content to perform and produce behind others, Brock is ready to take his place as a talented singer/songwriter in his own right.
