It is exclusively sold on CD Baby. It features the Livin Out Loud sound from Reuben and Sylvia MacCalla along with extended family Lisa LaShawn, Martini, and dminor. This is a group of well-coordinated experienced professionals. Previous cd : Livin Out Loud (Debut CD- Smooth and Mellow) Artist Biographies Reuben MacCalla is the creative, visionary producer, and engineer of all of Livin Out Loud's work. Whether it is the cool swing feel of "When Can We Get Together, the moving ballad "I've Got To Be Strong," or such club favorites as "If You Think That It's Over" or the remix of Marvin Gaye's classic "Inner City Blues," Reuben's talent is at the heart of the Livin Out Loud sound. He created the original Livin out Loud music, lyrics and vocal arrangements that provide a warmth, energy, and excitement that bring a new musical genre to life. A self-taught musician and composer and a professionally trained sound and film engineer, Reuben draws inspiration from such greats as Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, and the late Marvin Gaye. Reuben also is an outstanding stage performer with a dynamic singing range. His vocal dexterity allows him to seamlessly move from lead singer to supporting vocalist, creating a holistic continuity to the entire live performance. Sylvia MacCalla is an original songwriter with a firm grasp of lyrical style. She co-wrote original songs for both Livin Out Loud CD's, including the heart-warming ballads "I Wanted You to Know" and "Whisper." The compelling, up-tempo songs "Shame On You," "Isn't That Something," and "You Make Me Smile" demonstrate her versatility. Sylvia's charisma and powerful voice creates an instant bond with audiences. Her sultry vocal style has been described as a perfect combination of soul, funk, and jazz that gives her a sound all her own. Sylvia has enjoyed a successful stage career that spans a decade. Notable theater credits include her roles as Joanne in the first national tour of the musical Rent, Glenda the Good in Steve Silver's award-winning Beach, Blanket Babylon, and Bette in Richard Hockberg's Good, Bad, But Beautiful, to name a few. Her great admiration for such artists as Sarah Vaughn, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Chan, and her insatiable love of music has inspired her to branch out. Lisa LaShawn's talent is best proven in her many live stage performances. Her voice articulates an innocence that underscores her dynamic stage presence and vocal power. He was a back-up singer for the legendary Paul Simon, had a reoccurring role in the Emmy award winning daytime soap opera General Hospital and was an understudy for Marc Anthony in the Broadway musical Capeman. As a member of "The Afrodisiacs", Martini opened for such acts as Kool and The Gang and Lionel Richie. Martini's music is a balance of poetic soul and pop that allows him to bring an electrifying performance to the stage. His first self-titled CD dminor, rose to the "Top 100" on the European charts at the end of last year. The song "All I Do," which shows off his cool and mellow vocal style, can be heard on Livin Out Loud's live CD. DJ Magazine called this cut "the quiet storm of the year--delicious, romantic, soul". His music is a blend of classic soul, new school hip-hop and jazz. Early in his career, dminor did studio work with such artists as Al Jarreau, Harry Bellafonte, "Aladdin," and "Beauty and the Beast" composer Alan Menken and the Beastie Boys. dminor continues to deliver excellence in both his recorded music and live performances.
