Joseph Kary originally of Oakland, California, got into break dancing as a young adolescent, exposing him to a unique form of retro-jazz-funk. Though rap and hip-hop had their influence, groups like EWF, Curtis Mayfield, and the hometown favorite Tower of Power, made the biggest impression. Through the years he experimented with R&B but eventually, like so many others, returned to his gospel roots and released his debut album, "Praise Him With Your Life". Joseph has since had the honor of performing with members of Malo, Sly & the Family Stone, Bueno, Sheila E, Pete Escovedo Ron Kenoly, Salvador, The Katinas, and many others. Though influenced by many, the heart of his music still remains loyal to the higher calling of Christ.
