The "Reflections" project is the brainchild of Phil Raney. Phil was born in Chillecothe, Ohio. Always dreaming of music Phil when living in Los Angeles 1987-1994 made the choice to produce his first Smooth Jazz project. Aided by his close friend James "Frisky London" Brittan the goals of production were met and the "REFLECTIONS" project went on to become an entry in the 38th GRAMMY'S in 1994. Between Phil and James' daily work, studio musicians from the L.A. area were employed to improvise over the tracks recorded by Phil. Wearing the hats as composer and producer the blending of R&B, Contemporary Jazz, Island Grooves and Rap meet in a recording studio in the Pasadena Hills area of Southern California.
