Obiwon's EP drops at a time when Africans and the rest of the world is paying attention and recognising the potentials of African Urban Music. With his "Jedaimusic", Obiwon seeks the perfect African yet Urban/HipHop sound.

With a conviction that his moniker takes back a name which was initially jacked from an African language (Obiwon's real name is "Obiora" and "Obi" means "heart" in Igbo), Obi tries to be different by exhibiting skills to set him apart like a true "Jedai" in his brand of African Urban.

This preliminary experiment fuses indigenous language, chords and rhythms within the basic tenets of Urban and R'n'B. Lyrics explore relationships from every human angle, at times being socially conscious and reflecting on a relationship with God. The result is an undeniable groove, soul and a deep understanding of where this artiste is coming from.

The EP release becomes the ideal precursor to his forthcoming debut full-length album, "Overture", and serves to invite audiences to a deeper expedition that is to follow. The buzz is gradually growing from Nigeria to Internet radio and beyond.
