Jazziz magazine featured this CD in April 97 after pianist/composer Al Daniels won recognition in a competition sponsored by them. It features that piece Intimate Pursuit, as well as nine others in a contemporary genre. The band, on the other tunes, is made up of L.A. musicians who are currently on tour with Al Jarreau (Andrew Ford), Tracy Chapman (Linda Taylor), and Bobby Caldwell (Land Richards). There are also two great vocal tracks, sung by Al, that break up this all instrumental CD.
