Martin, Scales and God has blessed them with five Children. Pastor Scales was called into the ministry at a very young age but did not acknowledge the call until the spring of 1990 while attending the Grove Baptist Church located in the City of Portsmouth Virginia. Later in 1990, God instructed him to move back to the Henry county area (where he was raised by his parents) to begin his ministerial work. He joined the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and was licensed to preach the Gospel on December 9th 1990 by Pastor Sam W. Adams. He was very active in Sunday School, Bible Study and sang with the Gospel group Genesis for almost four years. After almost five years of preaching and teaching in various churches he was called to the office of Pastor at the Snow Creek Missionary Baptist Church. During this time various work was initiated within the church structure for the growth and advancement of the Gospel at the local church level. Pastor Scales always thanked God for the training and guidance that he received while working with the members of the Snow Creek Church. However in the year of 2001, after eight years, Pastor Scales felt led to resign from the Snow Creek Church and turn toward more study and preparation for something else even though he was not completely sure what it was that he was being led to do. For the word of God written in 1st John 4:17 had changed his ministry and it would never be the same. In February of 2002 Pastor Scales started writing his first book titled "God For The People In the Pews". Several study guides were developed during the year and his first CD titled "The Three Basic Principles Of God" was recorded in February 2000 even though he did not have it produced right away. But study has been his main focus for the past two years. Pastor Scales has been invited to many churches to teach and to preach. He thoroughly enjoys seeing Believers set free from bondage and having yokes broken and destroyed in their lives. Watching new converts walking in and living within the anointing of God and seeing people relieved from weaknesses and infirmities has always been special to him. Track List: 1. Are You Ready? 2.
