nicole torres was born in miami, fl in 1983 to her wonderful cuban parents. one day about 18 years later she began to play the guitar. soon after, she found herself on stage in seattle and surrounding areas. after playing host to a live open mic broadcast for almost a year, she let the wind take her to the twin cities for a while, but she finally came home to denver where she continues to pluck the musical chicken. she has released four solo albums, and her fifth marks her debut with a band. she is currently working on her sixth- which is scheduled to release fall 2006. during the day, nicole works bilingually for an inner city outreach program through the Girl Scouts of America. at night, if you don’t see her on stage, you can probably find her at her family’s restaurant where she waits tables (like all great artists). as much as nicole likes to storm the stages of the world, she puts focus on helping others do the same. as head of a small, denver based non-profit, she helped several of denver’s local talents release albums, and books. that effort has since turned to production. nicole is currently producing albums for a few of denver’s favorite faces. those projects are scheduled to release summer 2006.
