HOW TO STREAM LIVE AUDIO AND VIDEO with brightpathvideo

Using screen captures, this interactive CD-Rom shows how easy it is to live stream both audio and video. The easy to follow CD works just like a website to help get you going with ease and confidence. This $16.95 CD is being used to teach video activists and labor union techies how to cover live events on the internet.
The author, video artist John Parulis has been making professional videos for over 20 years. His clients have included: GreenPeace, Oakland Collesium, Zap Electric Bikes,
Communication Workers of America, SEIU, The Nation Magazine, to name a few. He teaches classes on How To Stream Video for LaborTech.org

Below is a recent review by Playstream CEO George Grubb:

Thank you for giving us the chance to review "How to Stream Live Audio and Video On the Internet." The CD Rom provides a convenient tutorial that should prove easy to digest for the busy digital media professional. We seldom see CD Rom tutorials on streaming related topics so it is encouraging to discover that you have published one for live streaming over the Web.

The tutorial is intuitively designed, making it easy to navigate. Rather than inundating the viewer with theory and lots of history, the tutorial hops right into the nuts and bolts of getting a live signal delivered over the Web. The guide provides resources and links to encoders online, as well as useful tips and techniques to consider along the way.

I found that the best sections are in chapter three and four, where tutorials are available in digital video & audio presentations that demonstrate how to use encoders of each major streaming media format, as well as a demonstration on how to connect your encoder to a live server. Using screenshots with voice-over narrative, John Parulis takes the reader through a series of presentations that provide the reader with basic reference points to quickly deploy live audio and video over the Web. If I have one critical comment to make, it would be that I wish the audio volume level was originally recorded at a higher level for the presentations. I did have to turn up my volume to maximum level to hear John's voice.

At this price, it this tutorial saves your readers from agonizing over one technical hurdle in deploying live streaming, the investment would have paid for itself. Having reviewed the guide, I'm confident it will help your readers overcome a lot of hurdles.

Sincerely,

George Grubb
