"Somebody Stop Me": The CD

Ah yes, Gabriel Farago. He's another person who took an interest

in my music and became a catalyst for my next adventure in music.

After hearing the "Hard Act To Follow" demo, he felt I needed to

go to Nashville and record a CD, using some of Music City's finest

studio musicians. I saw it, not so much as a chance to make a

record, but rather a way to get some professional recordings

made of some of my songs. It would also look better to send out

a professionally recorded CD, as opposed to a good old "demo tape".

So in February of 1997, we went into Reflections Studio in

Nashville, along with the great musicians that Gabriel lined up,

and cut four of my songs ("Somebody Stop Me", "Where The Lover

Meets The Road", "Nuclear Family Fallout" and "If God Loves Me").

In addition, I sang six other songs that I did not write. Gabriel

provided the backing tracks from previously recorded sessions,

and the 10 song "Somebody Stop Me" CD was born. It was

released by National Sound Distributors and although the song,

"Somebody Stop Me" got very little airplay in the U.S., it got

quite a bit of play in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

I still get e-mails from fans over there who really liked the song,

even though it wasn't available for purchase over there. I've

personally sent out numerous autographed copies in appreciation

of their interest and support. It meant alot to me to hear from them.
