Barry Glenn Davis, an award winning honky tonk songwriter, weaves tales of infidelity, inebriation, lost love, bad love, and even back seat love into 13 original songs for Lanark Records' first release since Charlie Gracie's "I'm All Right"...Ride along with a trucker who sees his ex each night only because she is the toll booth attendant, in "Standing Room Only."...Hang out with Ronnie, who gave his life to Jesus, but wanted it back by the end of the week in "She Got Religion, He Got Drunk"...Check in at the "Bedroom Community" for if you commute from work to cheat...Stop by the world's only Cadillac 'theme park' in "Cadillac Caper of Cooper County"...And then there's "That" song, which begins with: "A match made in heaven couldn't light this cheap cigar / if you drink your double 7's on that side of the bar," then continues with, "I have your daytime number / cus' the mens' room has a stall," and ends with, "It's hard to drink and drive / when you can't find the car." The music is pure honky tonk, (performed by killer players), with a bit of cowpunk and rockabilly. The lyrics are cerebral, with a bit of clever wordplay and humor.
