Hemmit was written and recorded in 30 days. A catharsis of rock, it pays homage to some of the greatest bands ever. Bands like The Ramones, The Who, ACDC, The Kinks, Social Distortion, Cheap Trick, Kiss, Guns and Roses, Van Halen and many more. Each song was laid down with the intent of keeping the energy of the initial takes. Most of the record is comprised of first takes and scratch vocals, thus keeping it raw and keeping it real. Additionally, Hemmit likes to give the finger to all those who have preconceived ideas about "what is cool" and "what is music". Music is an art and if it moves you then it is good. Some people will love Hemmit, others will say its not for them... but in the end, the moment in time was captured and like all real art, exists for the sake of existing and touching a few.
