Born in the winter of 2000, "21 Pennies" is a melodic, ever-varying, mix of pop, rock, punk, and emo. Hailing from New Jersey, members include Mike Montecuollo (guitar/vocals), Dennis Subrizi (bass/vocals), and Kyle Cassel (drums). After releasing their first E.P., a self-titled 6-song demo the band has spent weekend after weekend playing out to fans both old and new. Starting in the summer of 2002 21 Pennies began their biggest project to date: A self-released full-length album. The end product: "Don't Forget to Write", was recently released in January of 2003.

A message from 21 pennies:
"In the three years that we have been a band we have continued to astound ourselves with what we have accomplished. We never dreamed that we would have made so many amazing people who have become fans of the band, and more importantly good friends of ours. We never stop realizing that none of this could have ever been accomplished if it were always just the three of us. . . and that it has only been with the help of countless hands that we have gotten where we are today, and where we hope to be in the future. We would like to thank everyone who has ever been to one of our shows, bought our merchandise, supported us in anyway, or just been cool to us as we passed through on this long and yet unfinished road."
