The Oakland California four piece know as ned formed in early 2002. With three members hailing from Alaska (brothers Cyrus and Nathan Tilton and Mouse) plus one from New Hampshire (Ross Peacock), the band has amassed an enormous, fiercely loyal fan base throughout Northern California and the Pacific North West. Ned's sound has been described as, "A brilliant psychedelic musical explosion", "Highly varied, noisy indie rock", "A synthesized blend of freaky strangeness" and "Rich, Sophisticated Oakland Lo-Fi." The band's first album "Coloring Book"(Oct. 2004) was recorded at Tiny Telephone with Reto Peter (Morphine, Iggy Pop, Fun Loving Criminals, Green Day) and brings to mind moments of David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Campag Velocet, Rage Against The Machine, Beck and The Beatles.
