Drawing on a colorful blend of genres, Absolute Elsewhere of Moses Lake, Washington, creates and plays their music in an effort to push the envelope and break away from what seems to be the industry standard of popular music. In a time of countless boy groups and rap-rock bands, AE stands alone with a unique blend of introspective, textured, and colorful sounds that remove their listener from the TRL fuzz that saturates American radio waves. The band recently released their first full-length album entitled "What You Will". Having already recorded a six-song demo, the five AE members took full advantage of the studio this time around. The result is a full-ranged wall of sound with dynamic landscaping and tasteful sonic experimentation. J. LaRosee, of Venue Magazine, described Absolute Elsewhere as having "the progressive feel of Radiohead" with a "fluid, mature, and downright fresh" sound. The album is being promoted with shows at local venues and a month-long tour in the Northwest region of the USA. Absolute Elsewhere began making music five years ago. The band has gone through many member changes to arrive at its current roster of Danny Payne (vocals/guitar), Jon Fickes (vocals/guitar), George Samaras (bass), Andrew Angell (synth/aux perc), and Thomas Evans (drums/percussion). Each member of the band has dedicated his life to music and to the band. Thomas is on his way to becoming a Doctor of Percussion at Central Washington University, and Danny is a guitar instructor. Also, this past summer the band took to the streets and sold over 500 copies of their previous CD, "Living Room Standard Time, door-to-door. The entire band works as hard as possible to make sure the world knows who Absolute Elsewhere is. With much accomplished and much more in store, Absolute Elsewhere continues to deliver a driving force that will not be overshadowed by any amount of styles, fads, or time.
