Vestibule began in March 2003. It arose from the ashes of the pop/punk band Kid Fantastic that achieved a large following, top ten college radio air play, and a slot on Austins South by Southwest in 1999. Kid Fantastic was on its way to securing mild national fame. At that time the lead singer/songwriter Tim Austin felt the dramatic call of the Lord Jesus on his life and left the band in late 99. He put down his desire for fame and picked up a desire for Jesus. A wife, 2 babies, and four years later the Lord asked him to record again. Tim received the name Vestibule in a dream, which is a passage way separating the outer courts from the inner courts in a temple. The first album was recorded by Tim over a period of 7 months. The Lord blessed it. It is impossible to describe the album First a Lover, but one has said, It is a powerfully addictive worship infusion. Over the last few years Tim has been involved heavily with the House of Prayer movement in several cities including Dallas, Denton, and Houston (Pearland). One more child and a couple years later the second album The Agony and the Ecstasy is set to explode onto the volatile world scene with a glance at the Day of the Lord, a glimpse of eternity, and a gaze into the eyes and heart of God.
