This cd has been put together with various artists in the Ohio and Kentucky area. It was inspired through the aids and debt relief program started and headed by Bono, from U2. We wanted to contribute to this worthy cause, so we put a christmas album together which is "Water Of Life A Christmas Gift To Africa". The title to me is symbolic because the cd is to raise money for building water wells in africa and Christmas is about Jesus, who is water of life. By the way my name is Latria Roberts, So that is how i came up with the title. The musicians involved are incredible. You have Michael Jantz, with MC Verb Math, as special guest. Michael Jantz, has opened for Brian Wilson and BB King. Katie Reider who wrote the theme song to Dawson's Creek. Oh forgot to mention Michael alson opened fo Ben Harper and Jack Johnson. And Jeff Beck who was with BB King. You also have Mohenjo Daro who has toured in Canada. They are an awesome mid eastern band that consists of a gypsy, Jew, and then theres Jim who is married to an Indian girl. Now Jim has studied his play in india. he has mastered the tabla in my opinion. He has studied with Ustad Allah Rakkha and others. Ashley Peacock has U2 influence in his style and vioce but it isn't over baring, just a hint and if you are a U2 fan you'll notice it. John Daley is awesome the song on this album doesn't do justice, he is a gifted song writer too. Minister Mayham has true skill in bringing out what he has to say in rap and it is tasteful. Theory Hazit and Wonder Brown can arrange a song and make it hip hop in such a sweet way. Lucky Spaulding influenced by Bob Marley has a gift for song writing and singing. The "Presence Of The Lord" is an original. Brian Ferry and Dennis Davis are just wonderful. Brian plays it all. This man comes into studio with an idea and has it down playing all the instruments except the fiddle he is riveting, Dennis on fiddle is a sweet touch. Odd Man Out is a band that knows how to work a sound. You get with "O Holy Night" a song that sounds like it was recorded and played on a record. They know how to work with lack of equipment which shows great talent. The reaction people have is that they never thought "O Holy Night" could sound like that, a definite must here. Track List: 1.
