This particular song "When Freedom Reigns" was recorded professionally approximately a week after the tragedy. We came together as a unit and knocked it out in 15 hours - YES, that was all in one setting. From Thursday at 3:00 P.M to Friday morning at 6:00 A.M. Now you probably thinking to yourself - why were we in the studio so long? Well, A local radio station here in Arizona called The Zone, was having a special tribute on Friday morning called "Arizona for America". Our mission was to have it done by Thursday night...then run it on down to The Zone's gathering Friday morning. As any artist may know...the studio time didn't work out as expected! We finally finished the last mix down and burnt the Master Copy at 5:30 A.M. Friday morning. Wow, just in time!! AT that time, the only two members of the band stupid enough to stay all night long, myself & Don, contemplated on whether or not to go and drop off the CD at "Arizona for America"! Don talked me into going and no I didn't fall asleep on the way there, though I wanted to after being up 35 hours straight!! Once we arrived, the place was packed with 1000+ people. We chatted with Candita (The Zone's morning show side kick) and begged her to play "When Freedom Reigns." Afterall, it was our tribute showing Arizona cared for America. About an hour later they finally played our song during an intermission...it felt so amazing! The crowd seemed in shock as they listened to this song that was written and performed by local musicians! The best feeling was when the song was over, people were clapping everywhere, crying and asking us where they could purchase it. I was in tears too and at that moment, I truly believed we were sent here for a special purpose. Our vision behind this song was to try and help heal those that are afraid of the future and to help those that believe that freedom has been lost forever... ....always remember....THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a phenomenal country and FREEDOM WILL REIGN!
