Being the first album I did post 9/11, is one of the darker, though entertaining albums I had done. The title refers to the picture on the cover (which I took) and NYC after 9/11. What remains? We continue to push on, the example are the ladies eating in the diner. While unemployed, I worked on ATR for a straight year in New Jersey and New York City. Though it was frustrating not having work, I really enjoyed working on this album with the freedom that I hadn’t had since high school. ATR is also, the first fully digital recorded album done in my bedroom and at a small recording studio. I utilized the computer by adding several tracks of guitars, bass, keys and vocals to create exactly what I wanted, that I couldn’t do in the past. It was a great experience. Though being a great experience the times were tough and sad, dealing with 9/11 and other issues that were rattling my brain at the time. Some of my favorites are Digiboy, a nickname of mine at the time. Flood, the last tune I worked on for the project, a dream or reality of going down in the flooded basement. And Foam, about my transparent dog Rufus...I was hung over singing that one. Some of the influences, that I can think of: Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson/Robert Fripp, Jesus Lizard, Zappa. I’m really not good with how to describe the music, so just give it a listen and tell me what you think! Check out the artist's website: http://myspace.com/seancarolanproject Track List: 1.
