WITH CHRISTMAS COMING UP QUICK, THIS IS A GREAT CHEAP GIFT!!

LISA, originally from Toulouse (south-west of France) is currently composed of Nico (Bass), Mathieu (Lead vocals, guitars), Mika (guitars), and Julien (drums).

Started in August 2001, LISA drew their influences from indie-rock, punk and hardcore. The melodies may remind you of Get Up Kids, The Efficiency, and Hot Water Music with a bit of Thursday's spirit. Their style quickly became a generous mixing of emotions and energy.

After recording their second demo (August 2002), they decided to start playing the local pubs and cafés of the region as well as the festivals. LISA's performances were soon welcomed and never went unnoticed. Soon after, they decided to pick up a new drummer, Julien. With Julien now beating the sticks and skins, LISA decided to hit the road again and do a whopping 4 month tour through France.

5 months into the new band, LISA again wanted to hit the studio. They headed to the local studio "la vache sous les marronniers", and soon after "Little Contest" was born. It wasn't long before "Little Contest" was getting good reviews in France and that prompted the band to start contacting US labels.

In October of 2003, Skrewed Records decided to sign the band. They had the album remixed and remastered in the US, and thus the legend begins...

PRICED TO MOVE! WE NEED TO CLEAR OUT OUR OLD INVENTORY TO MAKE ROOM FOR NEW STUFF. STILL A GREAT CD, PLEASE HELP US OUT- YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED :)

REVIEW:
Punk with a Heart
I usually think of punk songs coming in small fast hard doses, so the track length immediatley set me back, at almost four minutes I was expecting an epic. The change seems almost like it could fit right in with most of what's in alternative. and in fact, is better than most of what's actually in alternative. The faster parts are reminiscent of early Camper Van Beethoven. In the end, the track length was great, and I was sad to hear it end. A great track!
