Lifemachine is a four piece aggressive-melodic rock outfit out of New York City with progressive and pop song structures steeped in the tradition of The Who, Rush, Soundgarden and Tool. Lifemachine's debut album, The Sound and The Fury, was released by the band sans label in November of 2000. The Sound and The Fury was named the best selling rock consignment CD for January and February of 2001 at Tower Records Lincoln Center by Rock buyer/sales manager Tony Castillio in the April 8th issue of The Album Network. The band has performed throughout the city and has recently begun expanding their fan base to New Jersey and Long Island.
