Hailing from Chicago, the last 3 years have seen this five piece take the music scene in a new direction. The music emanates a mix of melodies from every angle and the song structures often surprise even the most careful listener. There is a harmonious blend of alternative, emo, indie, and pop to be found here. With haunting vocals that are sometimes compared to Delores O’Riordan of the Cranberries or Alanis Morissette, the songs are something fresh in a sea of three-chord, male-vocal dominated post-punk. There are no stories of teenage heartbreak here: the first-hand reassurance that even the worst parts of a parent’s life are lessons and the conflicted feelings of being at the right place in the wrong life are scenarios far too adult to trivialize. However, these same themes are ones to which almost every listener can relate. With such a truly unique style, ...for all I care strives to make the next song better than the last. Drum beats that drive, clever yet cunning guitar riffs, and lyrics that subversively paint pictures can almost make one forget the heavy-handed music with which Chicago forged a name for itself. This is a new time indeed.
