Avi Paul Weinstein is a multimedia artist working in Boston. His first release for Paper Thin Records: "Here Come the Clones" is an over the top concept album about egg machines, clones and defects. While living in Boston Avi learned nothing from his local contemporaries and preferred to twiddle away in the comfort of his own brain, eventually coming up with something completely fresh and appealing to the ear. Or not. In Avi's compositions one can hear a good use of impact sprinkled with a blanket of subtleties, which is then drenched in a strong sense of simple, catchy melody. With most of the songs on Here Come the Clones clocking in around three minutes, you can be sure that there is not one wasted musical second. These songs don't wander around aimlessly- suduced by their own self worth, they get straight to the point and rock.
