Believe is a soulful, exhilarating journey, moving from the cathartic rock of "Fall back to you" to the hushed tones of "Always Sleeping" without once breaking its mesmerizing spell. Singer Josh Altman takes his voice on soaring flights. Nearly flawless, he is a persuasive cross between Coldplay's Chris Martin and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. This is exquisite. You Army's music is really melodious, and REALLY CATCHY -- the kind of tunes that can get stuck in your head for days. I caught this band perform in downtown Manhattan a few weeks ago and when I heard that the CD was being released I rushed to buy it.. Unlike so much of what is on the radio, this EP is not overly produced with sounds effects and layered tracks; a little rough around the edges but in a way that lets you know that you're listening to a debut effort by a band headed for greatness.
