Your New Best Friend was formed on a bet. See, someone bet Todd that he couldn't form a band and have it stay together beyond the first record, and, we're still here. You lose, bud! YNBF was born in the dead of winter in '03, when singer-songwriter Todd Satterfield discovered a dust covered cache of songs that HAD to be fleshed out and performed. An ad on CraigsList produced David McFadden (Bass) and Ken White (drums). As a matter of fact, they were the first two people to show up. They played, and there was no reason to audition further, the heavens shook, chemistry class was passed, end of story. Two years later YNBF has toured throughout the NorthEast, played many shows in NYC and have continued to write and record interesting melodic indie rock. The group has recorded their debut album. My Previous Life, with engineer Lori Sprester at Twin Spires studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn over the Summer of '04. A short hiatus while Dave was learning more about the English language in Scotland (....??), the band is primed to get back to work in early '05 to support their new record, 'My Previous Life' with shows on both East and West coasts.
