Xiren (pronounced seer-rin) is an accomplished musician and a prolific composer.

The release of his latest CD, "Xiren", reflects his exceptional talent and eclectic taste in music.

Over eighty songs already existed in Xiren's repertoire when he decided to create "the Chimera Project".

As the recording sessions got under way, more than twenty musicians eagerly participated with him and Xiren wrote several more songs along the way.

"the Chimera Project" exhibits Xiren's gift for hearing a musician's particular sound and then arranging a song to reflect that person's talent.

The result is an innovative blend of enchanting sounds, immaculate voices and haunting lyrics.

Inspiration comes from anywhere at anytime with Xiren.

"ode to the Irish" was written after a visit to ireland.

It was the day before he was scheduled to leave and the day a peace treaty was to be signed between the Irish and the English.

But a bomb went off that day; a bomb in the middle of a shopping center where the terrorists had lured hundreds of unaware victims.

Xiren was moved by the tragedy and, present to the sufferings of others, he wrote the song when he arrived back in America.

Catch Xiren at the right time and he might admit to having channeled a muse to compose some of his other songs.

"bend of the lu" was one such piece.

"lu" is short for luthier -- another word for "guitar-maker".

But the word wasn't even a part of Xiren's vocabulary when he wrote the song.

He just wrote the lyrics after meeting a guitar-maker named Kaoke when he was stuck at lax, composed the tune when he arrived home the next day and has never changed a note.

Today, it remains one of his most requested songs.

Xiren started playing piano at an early age.

Later, being inspired by such artists as sting and u2, he began composing songs - picking up any instrument within his reach.

He borrowed a friend's bass and taught himself to play.

Later, he bought a used guitar and after taking his training as far as he could alone, he succumbed to taking lessons from a professional classical guitarist in Detroit, Lee Dyamont.

Together, they transformed Xiren's playing and the songs have since poured from his soul with grace and ease.

His commitment to growth and development as an artist doesn't limit Xiren to one medium.

He is an integral part of a rapidly growing company, "Dream Team Technologies" in Denver, Colorado, where his talents as an extraordinary graphic artist and web designer emerge and fuel his creativity as a musician.
