BEST NOVELTY ALBUM NOMINATION 2002 Just Plain Folks Awards - burnt BEST NOVELTY SONG NOMINATION 2002 Just Plain Folks Award - Debbie They are "The World's Greatest Alternative Rock Comedy Band." They are "The Very Best In Comedy Rock." They are, Throwing Toasters. Biography Throwing Toasters is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Grant Baciocco. They are the "World's Greatest Alternative Rock Comedy Band." Combining catchy music with wry, witty lyrics and an amazing live show, Throwing Toasters have entertained audiences all over the world. This is no small feat when you consider the trouble the band goes through on a daily basis. Though the band's web site and all literature from them lists four members in the group (Baciocco, guitarist Dirk Underwood, bassist Timmy DuFell and drummer Stev "Musty" Jurgens), Baciocco is the only member who ever shows up at the shows. No one has ever seen the band together and there are serious doubts as to whether the other three members exists or if they are purely figments of Baciocco's imagination. One cannot doubt, however, the raw power that comes from a Throwing Toasters performance. It's high energy, fun and most refreshingly, not vulgar. Baciocco says, "Being crude in a funny song is taking the easy way out. That's why I don't do it." The band has put out three albums, 'Alvin', 'burnt' and the newly released 'CHROME'. Their songs have also become staples on the Dr. Demento Nationwide Radio Show and college stations across the country. The Throwing Toasters song DEBBIE, from the album 'burnt', was the #3 comedy song in the country in 1999 and 2000 and was included on the CD Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes #9 in 2001. Their song N.R.L. (NURSERY RHYME LAWYER SONG) went to #1 on the comedy music charts in April of 2002. BAD INFLUENCE, also off of 'CHROME' went to #2 in August 2002. Throwing Toasters truly is, "The Main Event In Comedy Rock!"
