The Ushers is the name of a band i put together in NYC between 1977 and 1978.The bass player and my self were ushers at the Beacon Theater and Town Hall in NYC.WE played the places;CBGB,Max's Kansas City,Tramps etc.In 1982,I fled NYC for Schenectady NY,where I grew Up.I kept my conections in the city.THe NY State Thruway became my new Broadway. We played the thruway circut;Rochester,Albany,New York. These recordings were made in 1985-86.The band hobbled along through the 80s,but I had begun to find other creative interests;the orchestra, chamber music,Opera.Pop music became one of those "been there done that"situations.
Now,the songs hold up.These new punk bands sound like I used to but not as good.Sorry kid,it's true!Go learn how to read!
